2 Arrested for Stabbing Homeless Man on School Grounds

HONOLULU — Police arrested two men Tuesday for second-degree attempted murder in connection with a stabbing at McKinley High School.

During the incident, which occurred just before 2:30 a.m., Axery Thomas, 21, and Genson Bunda, 20, allegedly stabbed a 43-year-old man, whose name is unknown, multiple times. The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, KHON2.com reports.

Authorities believe that the victim, along with one of the suspects, is homeless. The incident has generated concern from school administrators who say that the homeless issue affects at least 90% of Oahu schools.
