1 Suspect Arrested in Shooting Death of Washington Student

TACOMA, Wash. – Police have arrested a male Tacoma high school student suspected of shooting a fellow classmate on campus.

The suspect allegedly shot and killed another male student Jan. 3, just before classes began at Foss High School. The victim was pronounced dead at an area hospital a short time later. Identities of both students have not been released.

The alleged gunman was arrested without incident a few miles away from the scene of the crime. A motive for the shooting has not been determined.

Students were evacuated from Foss High School, and classes were cancelled for the remainder of the day.
