CHICAGO – A school bus hit and killed a pedestrian and then collided with three other moving vehicles May 21.
The pedestrian, Antoine Bolden, 22, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Eight others, including the bus driver were injured.
Officials believe the accident was caused when the 76-year-old bus driver suffered possibly a heart attack or other medical emergency. After the crashes, he was thrown from the vehicle.
Because the time of the accident was 11 a.m., no children were on the bus at the time.
