Video Shows N.C. Hospital Volunteer Screaming at Patient

The volunteer in the video has not been identified but the hospital said she’s been terminated.

A video has gone viral of an elderly volunteer at a North Carolina Hospital shouting at a patient with his family.

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center released a statement apologizing for the incident, shown above, and confirming that the woman has been terminated.

Isaiah Baskins claims in the beginning of the video, which he filmed with his cell phone, that the volunteer had just used the n-word and insinuates that the woman is racist.

The woman can be seen criticizing Baskins’ low pants and pushing his child’s stroller out the hospital doors.

A hospital volunteer intervenes initially after the volunteer makes a phone call, telling staff to “get these people out of here.”

Ten minutes after the video begins, hospital security arrives.

Baskins has not been reached for comment and it’s unclear how long the woman had volunteered at the hospital.
