System Sensor ExitPoint Audible Exit Sign

System Sensor of St. Charles, Ill., has added voice messaging to its ExitPoint product, an audible exit sign. ExitPoint is now capable of playing a recorded alert message, which instructs the occupants of the action to take as they approach an ExitPoint device, including “stairs up,” “stairs down,” “area of refuge” and “exit here.”

The product has a total of 15 single and combination language choices. In between the voice instructions, ExitPoint’s integral audio amplifier produces a pulsating noise consisting of broadband low, mid and high sounds.

The directional sounder has an optional disable feature for use in conjunction with a control module or heat sensor. It is designed to work in open areas, as well as in corridors or on stairs. The directional sounder features a number of field-selectable power settings.
