IAHSS Safety Manual and Certification

The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) has developed a resource for safety personnel in the healthcare environment. The program is available as a 280-page manual on the IAHSS Web site for $69.95 and includes study questions to prepare for a voluntary test on the manual to earn a certificate of completion.

The manual gives a helpful overview of what a healthcare safety program entails. It is meant to convey a clear idea of what it takes to start a safety program in a healthcare facility; what’s involved if you’re taking over an existing program; and what resources are available for you to call upon.
