Detex Outdoor Area System for Healthcare Facilities
Detex Corp. of New Braunfels, Texas, releases the Outdoor Area System, a life safety and security hardware solution designed specifically for healthcare facilities that have courtyards and gardens where patients or residents spend time.
The system includes the company’s weatherized panic devices with delayed unlocking hardware and a 15-second alarm that notifies a monitoring station of attempted exit; access control devices that allow entry from an outside courtyard with a keypad or card reader; and weatherized door-propped alarms that produce an audible warning when a door or gate is being held open.
