Spotlight on K-12 School/District Campus Safety Director of the Year Finalist Brendan Sullivan

Congratulations to Brendan Sullivan, Director of Safety, Security and Emergency Management at Boulder Valley School District, for being named one of this year’s K-12 school/district Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Some of his notable achievements include:

  • Created the School Safety Advocate (SSA) program when the school board removed school resource officers from the district, resulting in the reduction of disciplinary incidents and tickets to students.
  • Led the installation of security cameras on campus, resulting in the deterrence of misbehavior and less bias when investigating and responding to incidents.
  • Developed a network of support among schools, law enforcement, and community organizations to respond to potential threats.
