Congratulations to William Adcox, Vice President, Chief of Police, and Chief Security Officer, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, for being named one of this year’s higher education and healthcare Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Some of his notable achievements include:
- Created MD Anderson’s award-winning threat management team and workplace violence prevention program, resulting in reduced risk and improved safety.
- Reduced vehicular crime to zero in locations where security cameras with license plate readers have been installed.
- One of the first police agencies in the nation to participate in the 30×30 Initiative in which he pledged to increase the representation of women in recruit classes to 30% by 2030.
