Congratulations to Melinda Heikkinen, Associate Vice President and Chief of Public Safety at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, for being named one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Some of her notable achievements include:
- Achieved a 30% drop in reported incidents over the past three years
- Increased representation of women and minorities in her department through mentorship programs
- Re-introduced de-escalation training for officers
