Congratulations to Coatesville Area School District Director of Safety and Security and Chief of Police Frank Galbraith for being named one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- Researched, applied for and won grants to pay for officers and their equipment, security/technology/emergency preparedness programs, a new security gate and bulletproof vests.
- Implemented the Incident Command System in the district, taking administrative leadership through FEMA ICS 100, 200 and 700 training levels. He is currently planning for the 900 level.
- Developed close working relationships with the district’s local police departments.
