A University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics doctor is being accused of sexually assaulting a woman in his office.

Pauline Longoria is suing Dr. Samir H. Haddad for allegedly sexually assaulting her in May 2007, reports Iowa City Press-Citizen. Haddad, a doctor in the anesthesia department, was treating Longoria’s mother when he allegedly called Longoria into his office and sexually assaulted her.

Haddad initially denied sexual contact with the woman, but later said it was consensual.

Longoria is suing Haddad, the hospital, and the state of Iowa for negligence, compensatory damages, punitive damages and attorney fees.
