Campus Safety Expands Print Edition, Unveils Hospital Security eNewsletter

Published: November 10, 2010

LOS ANGELES – In an era when so many print and online publications are struggling just to stay afloat, Campus Safety magazine is bucking the trend by expanding its print offerings and introducing a new eNewsletter dedicated to hospital security.

Starting in 2011, the print version of Campus Safety magazine will be published nine times per year. The increased frequency means that university, K-12 school district and hospital security and public safety officials will receive even more information on the issues they care about most. Topics covered include Clery compliance, emergency alerting, disaster preparedness, hospital accreditation, active shooter response, systems integration, communications interoperability, officer management, incident response and more.

Additionally, the magazine will launch a hospital security eNewsletter focusing on security and public safety issues in the healthcare setting. Joint Commission accreditation, officer training, infant abduction prevention, video surveillance, access control, emergency preparedness and mass notification are just some of the subjects that will be in the spotlight. The new hospital security eNewsletter will be free and will allow readers to comment on articles, receive live updates on current events and access special content.

The expansion of offerings comes on the heels of a banner year for Campus Safety magazine. The redesigned www.campussafetymagazine.com and redesigned original weekly eNewsletter were unveiled in May 2010. The redesigned print version of Campus Safety was unveiled in July 2010.
