Dan Yaross, MSM, CPP, CHPA has over 40 years leadership experience and is currently the Director, Protective Services at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus OH. He previously served as Manager and later as (Assistant) Director of Protective Services at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and a Master of Science in Management Degree from Troy State University. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1995. He continued his management career in a private security company and over the past 20 years in the healthcare security field. He has held a variety of leadership positions throughout his military and civilian careers as well as serving on various Councils and in several volunteer, leadership positions in ASIS, International as well as in the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS). Dan previously served as Chairperson, ASIS, International Healthcare Security Council, and as a member on the IAHSS, International Affiliations Council and the IAHSS, Council on Guidelines. Currently, he is serving as Member at Large on the IAHSS Board of Directors.
