While many institutions have been preparing for active shooter incidents for close to a decade, there is continual change in the threat environment as attackers learn from past incidents and from violent extremist materials. In addition, there is constant movement of personnel in an out of institutions, resulting in the need to continually re-evaluate preparation and update plans and efforts.
This webinar will cover some of the key steps institutions should consider when preparing for an active killer incident. This includes moving beyond the perception that the threat is solely from firearms, and will include a brief discussion on the evolving active killer threat.
In addition, the webinar will discuss networking with other entities/agencies, creating training plans, use of force-on-force training for security staff, medical training for bystanders and responders, and planning for the aftermath.
At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

· Integrate active killer incidents to an All-Hazards plan
