The Bilco Company, a manufacturer of specialty access products, teamed up with decorated military veteran, firefighter and SWAT team member Troy Lowe to build the Barracuda intruder defense system, which improves door security against unwanted trespassers.

The Barracuda is designed to lock down virtually any commercial door in emergency situations, according to the company, and is available in different models to protect doors that swing both inward and outward. It is also adjustable to fit on varying door widths.

The Barracuda is an American made product that features heavy-duty steel construction and a durable powder coat finish. The device is not permanently attached to the door and thus requires no installation costs. The product can also easily be transferred between access points with its lightweight design, and can be deployed in a matter of seconds in an emergency lockdown situation, according to the company.
