Vicon Industries, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control software, introduces the Cruiser SN673V-C outdoor pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) dome surveillance camera, which combines a 1080p day/night H.265 camera with 23X optical zoom.
The camera features 360° continuous rotation and full -5° to 90° tilt range and is said to offer several enhancements over earlier models.
Vicon says this latest Cruiser model offers synchronized IR illuminators that support distances of up to 196 feet, as well as quad streaming capabilities with H.265 compression technology to reduce file sizes and bandwidth.
In-camera video content analysis can alert system operators to camera tampering, video motion and intrusion detection.
An impact-resistant lower dome with an IK10 rating and is secured by tamper-proof screws for anti-vandal security. Several mounting accessories accommodate a full range of mounting options, according to the company.
The camera accommodates 256 programmable presets and 8 tours and provides four alarm inputs and one alarm output. Additional features include video analytics, privacy masking, image flip, defog and two-way audio.
“There are applications where the need for crystal clear video from great distances is necessary, and the powerful zoom capabilities of our newest Cruiser model are difficult to replicate with even the highest megapixel fixed domes,” says Bret McGowan, Vicon senior vice president, sales and marketing. “Our new Cruiser is an important addition to Vicon’s comprehensive line of cameras, which includes models designed for every possible purpose and placement.”
