Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) invites applications for the position of Chief of Police. The Chief of Police reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and provides leadership, strategic planning, and administrative direction for College’s Police Department and Office of Emergency Management and Safety.
NOVA seeks a capable and experienced leader who demonstrates a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our college community. The Chief of Police will provide day-to-day operational and strategic leadership of the Police Department and foster and maintain positive, trusted relationships with faculty, staff, students and the surrounding community.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in law enforcement, including supervisory and patrol and investigative roles; progressive experience in command level assignments, such as division commander or deputy chief; and a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive campus environment.
