Openpath Introduces Pro Series Video Intercom Reader
The Openpath Video Intercom Pro uses artificial intelligence and edge-computing, allowing operators to use voice recognition to search directory listings or activate common commands.
CHICAGO, Ill. — Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI), a communications equipment company, announces the new Openpath Pro Series Video Intercom Reader (Video Intercom Pro), an access control reader that combines video, audio and enterprise call routing into an all-in-one device.
The Video Intercom Pro provides organizations with advanced security to help protect students, staff, patients and visitors.

With the Video Intercom Pro, which uses artificial intelligence and edge-computing, operators can use voice recognition to search directory listings or activate common commands like ‘call front desk.’
Openpath says the system also enables intelligent call-routing and two-way communication, providing a frictionless and secure entry experience.
Additionally, the video feeds let security staff receive video calls and alerts in real-time, send digital guest passes, and unlock doors remotely from a smartphone or tablet.

The Video Intercom Pro is hosted in the Cloud, making it highly scalable, configurable and easy to update with its remote management capabilities, according to the company.
The system is compatible with most existing access control and video security systems and will offer a range of third-party integrations.
