Aiphone Adds New Access Control Line to Portfolio

The AC Series is said to complement Aiphone’s intercom and security communications solutions.

Aiphone, an international manufacturer of intercom and security communication products, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new suite of access control solutions.

The newly announced AC Series of products marks Aiphone’s official entrance into a full line of access control products to complement its security communication solutions. The product line will include system management software, remote hosting capability, over-door controllers, proximity readers, credentials, and more.

“The addition of the AC Series is a natural fit for Aiphone,” says Brad Kamcheff, marketing manager for Aiphone Corp. “It’s an access system built to solve problems with creative hardware and software solutions, just like our intercoms. We are often asked to recommend an access control line to integrate with our intercom systems. Now, when we get asked this question, we will be able to offer a system backed with the quality and integration of the Aiphone brand: the AC Series.”

The company states the AC Series is a synergistic addition for Aiphone, which is a long-time manufacturer of communication solutions within the security industry. Aiphone boasts that it has provided reliable security communication systems to keep people safer in a variety of buildings. The company also notes that its solutions can be found in schools, offices, healthcare facilities, multi-tenant buildings, industrial plants, parking garages, and government agencies.

Aiphone emphasizes the AC series meets a variety of code and regulatory standards such as UL Listing, and NDAA and TAA compliance, which makes it a possible solution for government buildings, schools, and healthcare facilities. The AC Series is also scalable from a single door to thousands of doors.

Various components feature built-in lock power, fully configurable inputs and outputs, short protections, over-voltage protections, maintenance-free real-time clock, and an LCD screen for easy troubleshooting. All of this is available in a compact package.

The AC Nio software is a modern, secure, and customizable access control interface. According to Aiphone, the software is easy to use, and it provides powerful options such as a dashboard home page, scripting engine, trigger system, customized notification rules, ad-hoc schedules, automatic U.S. and Canadian holidays, DSC intrusion integration, various reporting functions, and flexible administrator permissions.

In addition, Aiphone is offering several starter kit packages and add-on accessories as part of its AC Series.
