Learn about an effective strategy for partnering with other nearby colleges in Campus Safety magazine’s latest podcast.

Sgt. Don Silverek of the Sonoma County Junior College District discusses his role as president of the North Coast College University Mutual Aid Group with Executive Editor Robin Hattersley Gray.

Silverek discusses the mutual aid agreement, which is set for renewal in January and outlines how the colleges would coordinate resources during a disaster.

So far, the group has purchased six-by-10-foot trailers for emergency supplies and CERT training; assembled a disaster response kit for each campus building; and set aside $25,000 in a training and supplies fund.
