Yale Students Must Register to Hold Large Off-Campus Parties

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — As of this semester, Yale University students are required to inform the school in advance if they plan to hold an off-campus party that involves more than 50 people.

The location of the party and the name of an official host must be registered with the university prior to the event, the Associated Press reports. The intention of the policy is to curb underage drinking and complaints from neighbors.

The registration can be done just hours before a party is held.
