Worker Caused $200K Hospital Damage

SALEM, Ore.—A contract employee at Salem Hospital has been arrested for allegedly causing $200,000 in damages to hospital offices.

Anthony Thurston, 22, is suspected of the May 23 incident, when he reportedly stuffed a hospital sink with paper towels and left the water running, reports myCentralOregon.com. As a result, the administration and human resources offices on the first and second floors were flooded.

Thurston is an employee of Phoenix Health Systems, which provides the hospital with information technology services.
