RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Tech’s quarterback has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of brandishing a firearm.
According to police, Marcus Vick, 21, pointed a gun at three people during an altercation at a McDonalds on Jan. 8.
Vick was the quarterback who led Virginia Tech to a win in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 2. Since then, he has been dropped from the team for his legal difficulties and unsportsmanlike conduct at the bowl, where he stomped on the calf of Louisville’s Elvis Dumervil. In 2004, he was suspended for several legal problems.
Vick, the brother of NFL quarterback Michael, missed being designated the Atlantic Coast Conference’s offensive player of the year by one vote. He has declared he will go pro next year.
