Video: Neb. Cop Exonerated In Hospital Arrest

Published: June 11, 2012

OMAHA, Neb. — One of the two Omaha Police Department officers fired over a forceful arrest outside Creighton University Medical Center in May of 2011 has been reinstated by an arbitrator.

The independent labor arbitrator reinstated Officer Jackie Dolinsky, a four-year officer. Officer Aaron Pennington, who was also fired, will have his arbitration proceedings later this summer.

Officers Dolinsky and Pennington were among a group of officers who arrested Robert Wagner, 35, outside of the medical center. Wagner was arrested after he refused orders to leave the hospital and punched an officer in the head.

Wagner pleaded no contest in May to attempted assault of a police officer, a misdemeanor, for his role in the incident, reports the Omaha World-Herald.
