Vallejo PD Will Remove Officers from Public Schools

VALLEJO, CALIF.

The Vallejo Police Department will be removing six officers from public school campuses due to financial issues. The campus program is scheduled to end on Dec. 19.

More than 1,600 middle and high school students were suspended or expelled for violence, weapons or drugs last year, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

School officials intend to fight the campus officers’ removal.
