Several University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) campus police officers have been placed on leave after allegations of the department misusing state resources. Among those under investigation are the UTD police chief, assistant police chief, and three other department employees.

According to the university, the charges against the police department will cause no disruption to basic law enforcement functions or student safety.

Another University of Texas campus police chief was also placed on paid leave recently. The UT-San Antonio chief of police is currently undergoing a separate internal investigation, according to The Dallas Morning News.
