TAMPA, Fla. – The University of South Florida (USF) police department is searching for three men suspected of being involved in the Feb. 9 shooting of a former USF graduate student.
Ronald Stem, 57, was found shot to death in the Magnolia Apartment housing parking lot last week. He had been visiting a friend on campus and was attacked as he was leaving. The three suspects in the shooting were seen fleeing in a car.
No arrests have been made, and Tampa police have been called in to assist with the investigation.
To make students feel safer, there has been an increased officer presence on campus. Many USF police officers are working overtime, and the Tampa Police Department is providing patrol assistance. Additionally, two emergency call boxes near the scene of the shooting have been repaired.
