U. of Minn. Hires New Director of Police

DULUTH, Minn. — The University of Minnesota Duluth has hired a lieutenant from the Duluth Police Department as its new director of police.

Scott Drewlo, a 17-year Duluth police officer, was hired over 15 other applicants, the Duluth News Tribune reports. He will step into his new role, overseeing an 11-officer department, on July 9.

Drewlo replaces Anne Peterson, who retired as director of campus police last June after a 25-year career.
