TREXPO West will host a gangs panel featuring gang experts who have worked in the field for numerous years. Campus police and security professionals who want to learn more about how traditional law enforcement is dealing with this type of organized crime are invited to this event.
Southern California-based gangs are responsible for much of the crime and violence in our inner cities, and this panel will discuss what’s really happening with them and their effects on the cities and counties where they operate.
The panel, which will be facilitated by FOX 11 Los Angeles’ Investigative Reporter, Chris Blatchford, will take place Tuesday, March 31 from 5 – 7 p.m. Members of the panel include Richard Valdemar, Sergeant (Retired) Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department;Tony Manzella, Deputy District Attorney IV, Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office; and Tony Moreno. Each will give a short introduction followed by questions and discussion from the attendees.
TREXPO West will take place March 31 – April 2 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif. Other topics covered during the conference include defensive tactics for law enforcement; a first responder’s guide to terrorist detection and prevention; surviving an edged weapon attack; night vision technology applications and techniques; and more.
