Terrorism Probe Sparks Added Stadium Security

Penn State will be enhancing its security at football games for the rest of the season after several arrests were made in a terrorism probe.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Homeland Security officials have said they know of no specific plots against stadiums or other entertainment venues.

As part of its additional security measures, Penn State stadium security will be checking bags before attendees are able to enter the stadium gates.

Michigan Stadium recently banned all purses and bags for security reasons, while the Pittsburgh Pirates also added additional screening measures.
