Teens Confront Adult Sex Assault Charges

Four Florida middle-school students are facing charges of sexual assault on a 13-year-old flag football teammate. The boys, ages 14-15, are being charged as adults and could each face a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison.

The victim was allegedly held down in a school locker room and was assaulted by the boys with a broomstick and hockey stick. According to investigators, the boy was harassed and bullied for nearly two months.

Each of the defendants pleaded not guilty at a June 3 hearing, according to the Associated Press.
