Police arrested a 16-year-old Sept. 2 after they say he shot another teen in the head inside an Oklahoma high school’s football stadium.
The single gunshot occurred around 9:15 p.m. during a McLain High School football game and sent roughly 400 fans rushing for the exits, reports the NY Daily News.
The suspect allegedly dropped his weapon and left the scene but was taken into custody outside the stadium.

The 13-year-old victim was grazed by the bullet and is expected to fully recover at a local hospital. The victim had reportedly gotten into a verbal altercation with the suspect earlier in the night, although police have not released a motive for the shooting.
The Tulsa Police Department’s gang unit is investigating the crime and has recovered a small caliber pistol from the scene. Three other juveniles believed to be involved in the verbal altercation were taken into custody for questioning.
It is unclear if the shooting was gang related.
