Teen Hazing ‘Slut List’ Draws Criticism

A high school hazing prank has sparked controversy among parents and school officials after senior girls released a “slut list” that discriminates against incoming freshmen.

The list, a Millburn High School senior “tradition” for the past 10 to 15 years, labels the new female students with vulgar descriptions. The list is created by a clique of female seniors and is handed out around campus.

Richard Brodow, the school’s superintendent, condemned the annual ritual when it became known earlier this week in an ABC News story.

According to students, the list is just part of the hazing ritual on the first day of school. Freshmen are also whistled at, shoved in lockers and tagged with stickers.
