Suspect Fatally Shot Inside Hospital by N.C. Officer

An off-duty officer fatally shot a man suspected at pointing a gun inside a Gaston Memorial Hospital in North Carolina.

Officer W.E. Howell approached the man in the waiting room after being alerted of a person with a gun. The man allegedly pointed the gun at another individual before being shot, according to the Associated Press.

The family of the man shot and killed by the officer is asking for a full investigation.The officer is currently on administrative leave with pay.
