Student Jumps to Death at NYU

A New York University (NYU) student has committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor of the school’s library. A suicide note was later found in the student’s room.

The death of Andrew Williamson-Noble, 20, has raised concerns about the high number of NYU suicides in recent years, according to The New York Times. At least nine students have committed suicide at NYU since 2002, including four in 2004.

Campus officials installed plexiglass panels around areas of the library and restricted access to balconies in 2005. However, Williamson-Noble was able to somehow get passed the added barriers.
