Student, 19, Found Comatose Near Professor’s Home

PHOENIX – The body of a comatose female student at Paradise Valley Community College was found at the home of her 51-year-old professor April 20.

Nineteen-year-old Andria Ziegler was pronounced dead at 3 a.m., 30 minutes after she was discovered at Professor Michael Todd’s home, authorities said. Todd was placed on paid administrative leave April 22.

According to reports, a 911 call was made around 2:34 a.m. about an unconscious female. The case is not being ruled as a homicide, and there are no suspects.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s office is awaiting toxicology results to determine Ziegler’s cause of death.
