Congratulations to Brentwood School District Director of School Security Carlos Sanchez on being named one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- To reach out to students, he created a three-on-three basketball tournament with more than 2,000 students participating in the program.
- Saved money, reduced the rate of student truancy and improved visitor management by implementing a bicycle patrol unit.
- Worked with the local police department to create an education program for undocumented students on how to stay safe and not get involved with gangs.
