NEW YORK — A special education teacher at PS 386 in the Bronx faces charges of first-degree rape and predatory sexual assault of a child in connection with the alleged rape of a 10-year-old student.
Police arrested Anthony Criscuolo, 40, on Wednesday after the purported victim’s mother told authorities that the fifth-grade teacher sexually assaulted her child on Monday in his car after school, CNN reports.
A representative for the Department of Education said that Criscuolo had been immediately reassigned away from the school and any students. The department is now seeking to terminate Criscuolo.
