WASHINGTON — A skimmer device was discovered in an ATM at the Inova Fairfax Hospital Cardiac Care Center on Wednesday.
The device was likely installed in late August, NBC Washington reports. Thieves used the device to steal card numbers, which were used to get cash from other ATMs and buy groceries.
A customer spotted the device and alerted hospital security.
