Security Officer Leaves Gun in School Bathroom
LAPEER, Mich. – A Lapeer charter school security officer left his unloaded firearm in a campus restroom on Jan. 14 for a few moments.
According to school officials, the incident was a breach in security protocol, reports MLive.com. They would not comment on whether or not the officer was disciplined for the oversight. Officials did say they have added more procedures to ensure this type of incident won’t happen again.
