HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Canada — A brawl at a high school hockey game between Halifax West and Sackville High schools resulted in the stabbing of security guard and the arrests of four teenagers.
Police said guard had to turn away fans because the Centennial Arena was at capacity under fire code regulations, according to CBC News. Some fans who were denied entry tried to force their way into the arena through the side and back doors. Three different assaults took place during the incident, causing two security guards to seek treatment at a local hospital for minor injuries.
The four suspects were taken into custody and were released without charges. A representative for the Halifax Regional School Board noted that the alleged attackers, all under the age of 18, had no connection to either school, reports Metro News.
