SEC Discontinues Investigation of TASER Medical Safety Issues

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., TASER International Inc., a provider of electronic control devices, announced Dec. 13 that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has completed an investigation into TASER’s disclosures concerning the medical safety of the TASER device, as well as certain accounting and disclosure issues.

The SEC says it will not recommend any enforcement proceedings as to any of these matters.

The commission is continuing to investigate issues relating to trading in the company’s stock.
