Savannah State University on Lockdown After Shooting

Savannah State University is on lockdown after a shooting at University Commons, an on-campus residence. Officals are now reporting the incident as an accidential shooting.

Two people were taken to a local hospital, according to a university spokeswoman. It was not immediately clear if those shot were students.

Savannah State University was founded in 1890 and has a student population of about 3,200.
