Brown reportedly began shooting after finding Hahn in the break room of the college. When he ran out of ammunition, he told Hahn to run. After reloading, he chased her and continued shooting as Hahn ran away.

“I realize that in the world that we live in now unfortunately these things happen but I feel like maybe this could have been prevented,” coworker Toni Wisniewski said.

A shooting at Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne, Indiana Monday left two women injured and the suspected shooter dead.

The women were taken to a local hospital and are expected to survive while the man believed to be the shooter was found by police deceased inside the school, reports The Journal Gazette.

After receiving a report of an active shooter at the beauty school, police from the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police surrounded the campus around 6:45 p.m.

Officers discovered one female victim suffering from a gunshot wound outside of the building. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital while several officers entered the building.

Inside the school building, officers found a man with gunshots wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators are not looking for a suspect, likely meaning the deceased is the suspected shooter.

John Chambers, public information officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department, said emergency responders treated the incident as an “all hands on deck” situation. Other agencies seen at the beauty school included the Fort Wayne Fire Department, Homeland Security, the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.

“The information that we received was that it was possibly an active shooter that was inside the building at the time of dispatch,” Chambers said. “So, as officers arrived on scene we set up a perimeter and secured the premises at which time we had teams of officers enter into the building and search for the suspect and any more victims.”

Police are waiting for the autopsy before releasing the identity of the deceased man and the shooting investigation is ongoing.

Ravenscroft Beauty College offers classes for cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, manicuring and teacher training. The college had an enrollment of 164 students in the fall of 2015.
