Pot Smoking College Employee Dies After Wrestling With Cop

NEW YORK – A College of Staten Island employee who was caught smoking marijuana by a police officer died Nov. 30 after getting into a scuffle with the officer.

Cory Holmes, 39, was smoking pot in a campus bathroom when a New York Police Department Officer tried to arrest him, reports the Daily Mail. Holmes bolted from the scene but the cop caught up with him. The officer and two bystanders restrained the suspect. After being handcuffed, Holmes went into cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
