An employee at a San Antonio hospital has been charged with stealing around $400,000 worth of medical equipment over a period of several months.
Ely Emanuel Castillo, 30, was charged with a first-degree felony after a detective interviewed him on Feb. 13 while he was holding stolen equipment, according to ksat.com.
Castillo, a part time employee as Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in Westover Hills, told police he committed the crimes because it was easy and no one asked any questions.

The equipment was stolen over the course of six months. Hospital security officers noticed Castillo always seemed to be working when things went missing.
The detective eventually obtained DVDs of video surveillance footage showing Castillo stealing the equipment.
Castillo reportedly sold the pieces of equipment to one person in a series of separate $600-$800 transactions. The arrest affidavit suggests he made at least $12,000 on the sales.
Castillo posted a $30,000 bond Feb. 17.
