Police Arrest Skyline College Shooter

SAN BRUNO, Calif.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old man suspected of shooting a Skyline College student on Sept. 2.

The shooting occurred in the campus parking lot after an alleged altercation between two small groups of people.

The suspect, also a Skyline College student, was charged with a gun felony. He pleaded not guilty on Sept. 4. If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison.

Students were alerted about the incident via a text messaging mass notification system shortly after the shooting took place. The campus was placed on lockdown before police safely evacuated approximately 3,000 students and staff members, according to KGO Newstalk.
