Police Arrest Gunman at Cartersville Medical Center

CATERSVILLE, Ga. — Police arrested a man at Cartersville Medical Center  on Monday after he used a gun to force two individuals to take him to the medical facility.

Harris Lee Holiday, 52, forced a female acquaintance to drive him to the hospital, and another man was also in the vehicle during the incident. Upon arrival at the hospital, the man jumped out of the car and ran to get security, Patch.com reports.

Hospital officials contacted law enforcement around 8:39 a.m., and police arrived at the scene within two minutes of the call and detained Holiday at the emergency room entrance. Both victims told authorities that they were in fear of him hurting them with the gun.

Holiday has been charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
