Police Arrest 100+ on Indiana Campuses for Underage Drinking

WEST LAFAYETTE and SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Indiana State Excise Police arrested more than 100 people on Indiana campuses during two weekend football games.

Police arrested 66 people on 75 charges on the Purdue University campus, reports indystar.com. Of those, 38 minors were detained for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol, and three were charged with having fake IDs. Authorities apprehended 14 adults for offering alcohol to minors.

At Notre Dame, police arrested 36 people on 49 charges. Thirty-two minors faced charges of illegal possession or consumption of alcohol and having fake IDs. Two juveniles under the age of 18 were detained for underage drinking.
